Your main activities will include:

- assisting local teachers to teach English, especially in speaking and listening lessons

- helping the pupils directly with their English communication and pronunciation

- singing and playing games

- joining daily activities with the pupils

You may also have the chance to get involved in extra-curricular activities depending on your interests and the needs of the school.

Working Hours
Your typical working day will be Monday - Friday between 7.30am and 04.30pm with a 2 hours break for lunch and rest.

Your exact teaching timetable will depend on the Vietnamese teacher that you are assigned to. This means that on some days you may start later than 7:30am, some other day you work half-day morning or afternoon term only.

Resources
Text books are provided (Lets Go is most often used in primary schools), and cassette players are sometimes available. Computers are rare. Any more teaching resources you could bring along (books, magazines, listening cassettes and crafts materials, for example) would be very welcome.

Usually, on Christmas time, the school arrange Christmas festival so songs, dances, short funny plays, special clothes or hats use for this festival are higly appriciate.

Special Points
In most of the schools space is limited, so students study, have lunch and have breaktimes all in the same room.

In Vietnam, teachers are one of the most respected circles,so when teaching officially, teachers have to put on quite offical clothes (for example : short, T shirt are not accepted..)
